Account & data deletion

MiLogBook is operated by BPS Dynamic. If you create an account in the MiLogBook mobile app, you can delete that account and associated personal data as described below. This page satisfies our web-accessible deletion information for app store policies and South African data protection expectations. Our full Privacy policy applies alongside this notice.

Delete your account in the app

Use the in-app account deletion flow (for example under Settings → Account → Delete account, or the equivalent location in your app version). Follow the prompts to confirm. This is the primary way to remove your account and request deletion of personal data tied to it.

Request deletion by email (web path)

If you cannot use the app—for example after uninstalling it—you may request account and data deletion by emailing privacy@milogbook.co.za from the email address associated with your account. Use the subject line “Account deletion request” and include the email you used to register. We may ask for reasonable information to verify your identity before processing.

What we delete

After a valid request, we delete or irreversibly anonymise personal data associated with your account where retention is not required by law. This typically includes your profile, authentication identifiers held in our identity service, and user-owned content stored for your account (such as vehicle and trip records, receipt images, and synced documents), subject to the retention notes below.

Retention and backups

Deleted information may persist for a limited period in encrypted backups and service logs. We purge or anonymise such copies on a rolling schedule (ordinarily within 90 days, and in many cases sooner). We may retain certain records where the law requires—for example limited billing or security audit evidence—or where data has been irreversibly anonymised for analytics.

Subscriptions and app-store billing

Deleting your MiLogBook account does not automatically cancel subscriptions billed through Apple App Store or Google Play. Manage or cancel renewals in your Apple ID or Google account subscription settings. Charges already billed are handled under the store's refund rules and our Terms of service.

Sign in with Apple and other providers

If you use Sign in with Apple, you can also revoke access to MiLogBook from your Apple ID settings. Revocation does not by itself delete all data we hold; use the in-app deletion flow or email us to complete deletion. Similar controls exist for other identity providers where applicable.
