Privacy policy

MiLogBook (“we”, “us”) is operated by BPS Dynamic, a South African company. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the MiLogBook mobile app or this website, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Account information — your email, display name and authentication identifiers handled by Amazon Cognito.
- Vehicle and trip data — vehicles, trips, fuel receipts, services and odometer readings you record in the app.
- Receipt and document images — uploaded to your private Amazon S3 storage and accessible only by you.
- Diagnostic data — anonymous app crash and performance metrics used only to improve reliability.
How we use your data
We use your data to provide the logbook service, generate the reports you request, sync between your devices, and meet our legal and tax-evidence obligations. We do not sell your data and we do not share it with advertisers.
Where your data lives
Personal data is stored within AWS regions operated under the terms of the AWS Customer Agreement. Production data resides in the eu-west-1 (Ireland) region by default. All data in transit is encrypted using TLS 1.2+; data at rest is encrypted with AWS-managed KMS keys.
Your rights (POPIA)
Under the Protection of Personal Information Act, you have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, including requesting erasure.
